Palace on Wheels - The Train

Palace on Wheels is just not another train! It is a living history that makes you part of the culture, traditions, legends, and most importantly the royalty that Rajasthan has always identified itself with. This train takes you through a 7-night journey of Rajasthan (land of kings) and treats you like a king at every occasion and in every interaction. The minute you set your sight at this train for the first time - you fall in love with it. Pink exteriors, train staff brightly dressed with colorful turbans, and authentic royal Rajasthani interiors - this is a love at first sight.

There are 14 passenger coaches attached to Palace on Wheels, each named after one of the princely states of Rajasthan. No two coaches of the train are identically done. Each coach carries the cultural ethos of the royal state after which it is named. From the carvings on wall to paintings, and state emblem - each coach is an study in itself. Each coach has four cabins with two beds each. The beds can be joined together on specific requests from the clients. Each coach has a small lounge where you can watch TV, read a book or newspaper, and have your breakfast.

Each cabin has attached bath with shower to give you some comfortable and peaceful moments after a long-day sightseeing program. There is also a herbal beauty care centre on board to rejuvenate your sagging spirit.

The train also has a bar cum lounge with finest collection of wines on board. Meet, greet, and enjoy the beauty of landscape passing by. The two restaurants "Maharaja and Maharani" will serve you authentic Rajasthani, North Indian, Continental and Chinese dishes throughout your journey aboard this great train.
