Palace on Wheels Tour, India

Palace on Wheels tariff is calculated on per night per person basis. The minimum number of nights required to book the tour is 4. Please note that you can board Palace on Wheels from a destination only at the time of departure and not at the time of arrival. So, if you are planning to board Palace on Wheels at Jaipur, you can do that only in the evening when the train leaves Jaipur for Jaisalmer. At the same time, you disembark the train also at the time of departure. So if you are planning to disembark at Jodhpur, the normal course is leaving the tour at the time of departure in the evening from Jodhpur.

Govt Service Tax 4.3% extra

  • Half fare for children between 5 and 12 years. Children below 5 years can travel free accompanied by their parents.
  • Subject to change without notice.
  • 10% Additional surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/ New Year.

Inclusions

Tariff is inclusive of travel/catering/conducted sightseeing/entrance fee at monuments/ parks/ palaces/ cultural programmes/ camel ride/ boat ride/ rickshaw ride and for still cameras.

Exclusions

Guest has to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.

Booking

You need to remit an amount of 50% of the tour cost, as an advance deposit, immediately after we send you a confirmation of your tentative booking. The balance amount is to be deposited 70 days prior to the tour departure date. The tour tickets are issued one week prior to the departure date, and delivered free of charge to your Delhi address, upon your arrival.

Cancellation

  2. 50% OF TOUR PRICE FOR BOOKING CANCELED BETWEEN 30 TO 59 DAYS
  3. 100%OF TOUR PRICE FOR BOOKING CANCELED LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE

Check In

The reporting time is 4.30 pm at Safdarjung Railway Station.

Meals

The two restaurant cars, the Maharaja and the Maharani, serve a range of Rajasthani, Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Menus are changed seasonally.

Exclusive Charters

Companies can organize a "Business-cum-Pleasure" trip by chartering the truly luxurious Palace on Wheels for their conferences.

Varies from 8 degrees C to 25 degrees C between September to March & in April around 30 degrees C.
